"Rookie" Rules:
Rookies are players who qualify as minor leaguers (less than 150 at-bats, less than 50 IP)
Each team is permitted to have a "minor league roster" of five rookies
Rookies may only be drafted or traded for; they cannot be added any other way
Rookies who are property of a team, may not be added to another team via the Yahoo player list
At the end of the season, eligible rookies (less than 150 ABs/50 IP) may remain on the team's rookie roster, or they can be dropped. Ineligible rookies (more than 150 ABs/50 IP) will not count against a team's eight-man Keeper Roster, however, they must be activated and placed on that team's major league roster.
When an owner activates a rookie, he will not count against the eight-man Keeper Roster until the following season's draft. For example, if a rookie is activated in May 2009, he will not count against the eight-man keeper roster until the draft of 2011.
